Senator Eric Reeves
Senator Reeves is an attorney and business consultant
specializing in government procurement and litigation, finance
and business organization and government relations. From 1996
to 2005, he served in the North Carolina State Senate. During
his term, Senator Reeves served as Chairman of the Technology
Committee, was the Chair of Appropriations for Health and
Human Services, served as Vice-Chair of the Insurance Committee
and was a member of the Finance Committee. Senator Reeves
began his distinguished political career serving on the Raleigh
City Council from 1993 to 1996. From 1989 to 1991, he served
as a Law Clerk to North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Burley
Mitchell. Senator Reeves has been the recipient of many prestigious
awards, including an Eisenhower Fellowship, Outstanding Leader
by the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Technology Leadership
award from the North Carolina Electric Information Technology
Association and "Top 100 Democrats to Watch" in
2000 and 2004 by the Democratic Leadership Council. He is
a graduate of Duke University and Wake Forest Law School.
